Finally, a Sunday when I have a computer and am not stuck in bed with a cold.
My posts for this week are a very measly number of...2. Here they are:

Trenchcoats and Fedoras
I got a trenchcoat on Friday, from some friends of mine, for a costume for a play I'm in. Yesterday, I went to a local shop here in Edmonton called Headcase Hats and bought a Fedora. (A dark grey one, so not like Indy) Again, for the costume. I'm going to post the pictures up eventually (hopefully....maybe.....possibly)
Anyway, in the play - a murder mystery - I play a detective on vacation, who comes out of his vacation just in time to stop the murderer. It's a very weird, twisted, strange, and insane plot. It should be though I wrote 1/15 of it. That's all for now. "Here's looking at you kid."

I hate colds.
I really hate colds. I got back from England on friday and I was going to go right into posting my adventures, but I fell asleep from the jet lag. When I woke up, I had the worst cold in human history and it's only today that I've started feeling definitely better. Anyway, on to what I did. We - meaning my Dad and I - left Canada on Friday, two weeks ago at around 1:00 AM. We got into London at 11:00ish AM Saturday. We flew first class on Air Canada. As a result, we got to use the Air Canada arrivals lounge with showers. After that we went to Paddington Station, got some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, then boarded the train for Exeter. When we arrived in Exeter we had a nap and then got up in time to have supper with three of my Dad's co-workers. The next day, we went to the Catholic church for mass. Afterwards, two of the previously mentioned co-workers took us around Exeter, and over to another city, Dartmouth. Later that day, we went to the house of the aforementioned co-workers for supper and I played music with their son. (I played guitar he played drums) The next day, I went walking around Exeter looking at all the medieval and Roman castles and walls. I did the same the next day. On Wednesday, I went to daily mass, in addition to walking around Exeter. (I would have gone on the other days, but I always woke up too late.) I also, went to Exeter's Underground Passages, which were built to maintain the water pipes supplying fresh water to the Cathedral in the medieval ages. On Thursday, we left Exeter and went back to London, were we saw Les Miserables at The Queen's Theatre. It was amazing. On Friday, we went back home. The reason for my cold was that everyday that I walked in Exeter, it rained. That's all for now.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader post 2
Well, I'm only a day late. Not all that bad considering how late I usually am. Anyway, I am going to post all the things I loved, hated, and also, some of the things I found hillariously funny. (which probably no one else in the world finds humorous at all.) as a result, this post will be extremely disorganized. Starting now. Once the Pevinsies and Eustace were on the Dawn Treader, Caspian gave Lucy her gifts and tried to give Edmund Peter's sword. He also gave Edmund something he'd left in Narnia...his electric torch. a bit later, reepicheep is sitting on top of the dragon prow singing the song he sings in the books. It even has a tune. There are a bunch of Naiads in the water around this point. They look like see-through mermaids. The lone islands were changed a lot. instead of being a Narnia controlled territory with a bad govenor, it is a formerly Narnian territory, that has been taken over by slave traders who sacrifice some of their slaves to a green mist. I love how when Eustace gets turned into a dragon, they make it seem like he was eaten by a dragon. Edmund and Caspian discover his burnt clothing, and then a dragon flies out and starts "attacking." The dragon then grabs Edmund and flies him over a mountain to glowing letters made by lighting some things (I think trees but I can't be sure) on fire spelling out, "I am Eustace." When they fight the seaserpent - which was made into a much bigger thing. Instead of some random seaserpent, it was in the isle where dreams come true. - Edmund is standing on the crows nest when his sword glows blue. One of the best parts of the movie was how they kept in the quote, "Lucy Pevinsie: Aslan, will we ever meet with you in our world?
Aslan: You shall.
Lucy Pevinsie: How?
Aslan: Because there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there. " Well, that's all for now. Next post, I'll either be in Exeter or at home after Exeter.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Well, I just got back from seeing "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader." Throughout the movie I wrote down different thoughts that struck me. Unfortunately, I left them in the car and I'm not about to go back out into the cold and the wind and the snow and the ice and the.....you get the picture. Anyway, I will bring them in and post all of my comments in a coherent form tomorrow. I promise. (and this isn't one of those promises that I forget about the next hour.) (like the photos from my cruise which I still haven't uploaded :-( ) Meanwhile, I recomend going to see it. Though, not as The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but as a really good Christian movie. (They even kept the line about Aslan having another name and getting to know him in this world) Well, goodbye for today

England or Bust!
My apologies for not posting for a long long long long......long time. I've been occupied with memorizing lines for a play, memorizing a monologue for an acting course, preparing for a music competition, and being exhausted. I'm still not following any scehdule for my posts because in four days I'm leaving for a trip to England. I'll be going to Exeter and then on the way back home I'll be stoping in London to see Les Miserables. I'm so excited. Also, the plane trip from here to England and England to here will be first class with lie-flat seats. In Exeter we will be staying at the White Hart Inn, 66 South Street, Exeter, Devon.
Well, Slán go fóill Vale (goodbye for now and farewell in the languages I'm studying: Irish Gaelic and Latin)
